EIZO Launches Home "Professional" Monitor with 10bit Color Depth Color Correction Software

Recently, EIZO, a highly-respected user in the high-end user group, announced the launch of the new display FORIS FS2332, which is mainly for the home entertainment market. At the same time, some professional display features make the applicable user group more extensive.

EIZO this monitor is slightly thick, with 23-inch IPS panel, using LED backlight; point distance 0.265mm, default native resolution 1920*1080. Using Power Gamma technology, the contrast ratio reaches 1000:1, intelligently changing the contrast in the dynamic picture and game to enhance the three-dimensional picture. With a horizontal angle of 178 degrees and a gray response time of 6 ms, it can cope with most game requirements. At the same time integrated automatic sensing technology "Auto EcoView", according to the ambient light intensity to automatically adjust the brightness of the display. The input interface contains 2 HDMI, one DVI-D and one D-Sub.

The difference with the common home display is that the FORIS FS2332 offers a 10bit color depth display function and comes with EIZO EastPIX color correction software and EIZO's EX1 color corrector. Preset 6 modes, including sRGB designer mode and modes suitable for movies, games, e-book reading, and two user-defined modes. A card-type remote controller is also included. Users can use the OSD menu of the camera body or use the remote control or the included control software to adjust the monitor.

This monitor is available with a 5-year warranty and offers 3 different bottom frame colors. The price is unknown. It is expected that the shipment will take place in July and it will be unveiled at DreamHack Summer 2011 in Lincoln, Sweden on June 18-21.
