Interior design gradually separated from architectural design
I used to do architectural design and worked in the 10th Design Institute of the Beijing Ministry of Electronics Industry. Before the 11th Asian Games was held in Beijing, I was responsible for the overall design of a venue.
I transferred to Shenzhen in 1988 because Shenzhen also has our branch.
The interior design at that time was not the same as it is now. It should be said that architectural design and interior design have not yet been separated. At that time, we needed to spend some time doing interior design, so interior design is also part of the architectural design. Later, I transferred to interior design, I think this is not a change, or peer.
In the past, we have also done many key buildings, such as the Beijing Hotel and the Great Hall of the People. At that time, architectural design and interior design were separated in many places abroad, but at that time our country did not have such a strict distinction. It was not until the reform and opening up that interior design was gradually separated from architectural design. With the improvement of people's living standards, the taste of hotels, office buildings, commercial buildings, transportation buildings and home decorations has also increased accordingly, which has also promoted the development of interior design. Nowadays, many colleges and universities have established environmental art majors and interior design majors, and trained a large number of professional design talents. Academic groups in interior design have gradually been established throughout the country, and a number of high-level design levels have emerged. Designers and excellent interior design works can be seen from this, this is a good development trend.
I think that as an excellent interior designer, we should make a very creative and in line with China's national conditions on the basis of the existing ones. We must have a good design concept and constantly improve the connotation of its interior design. As an excellent interior designer, we must further study and implement the norms and standards of the country and industry. I don't want the key buildings in our country to be designed by foreign designers. The initial imitation and reference are understandable. But designers must pay attention to original design. In addition, I hope that interior designers should master the basic principles and basic knowledge of lighting design and pay more attention to lighting design. At least when working with lighting designers, there must be a common language, and the role of lighting in the building should be emphasized. Lighting is the soul of the interior. The interior design is no better. If the lighting is not done well, it cannot be said to be successful.
Hotel design gives birth to lighting design
Lighting design is valued by the rise of hotel design. Before the reform and opening up, China's hotels were not star-rated, and later slowly began to be classified as stars. In a sense, the rise of the hotel industry has brought China's interior decoration to a new level, and the Chinese decoration industry has begun to pay attention to lighting design. Hotel design has become an industry that has emerged since the reform and opening up.
Today's hotels can be said to be more and more beautiful and upscale, but we have to admit that our original hotel design is more to imitate foreign design techniques, and we are slowly improving our indoors while learning from abroad. Design level.
Nowadays, the hotel industry in China has reached the international design level in terms of architectural landscape and indoor lighting. However, in my opinion, many hotels have a common problem, that is, the area where the room is for reading is not enough.
I am often invited to review design projects across the country, but many times when I take the drawings to the hotel room and want to quietly study the design case, I find that the lights in the rooms are too dark to meet the reading needs. This shows that in the lighting design of hotel rooms, many designers do not consider enough to read this function, and can not meet the needs of customers. Many hotels have this shortcoming. I hope that the design of the hotel should meet the requirements of the readers in reading: the illumination at the desk should be no less than 300lx, and the illumination for bedside reading should be no less than 150lx.
Of course, there are also many hotel lighting designs that are very good, such as the Intercontinental Hotel in Shenzhen, which uses LED lights indoors, especially in the multi-function hall ceilings, to create an atmosphere of different time of day. It looks quite unique. Also, there are a small number of LEDs used in the ceiling trough in the hotel. As a new energy-saving light source with energy saving, environmental protection and long life, LED is a very good product. The promotion of energy-saving lighting in our country is an inevitable development trend. It should be fully promoted in a few years.
