From March 5th to March 6th, 2009, the National Lighting Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Zhongshan) invited Dr. Franz Hengstberger, Chairman of the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) and former Director of the South African National Laboratory, to conduct inspections, guidance and academic exchanges. He also gave a speech on the standard maintenance and system maintenance of the International Optical Radiation Measurement Laboratory. The experts who participated in the conference also included: International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) International Standards Project Team Leader, International Commission on Illumination (CIE) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) International Standards Expert Group Coordinator, Zhejiang University Optoelectronics Department Professor Tong Tongsheng; Taiwan Mr. Zhang Xiyuan, member of the light measurement expert, member of the Taiwan International Lighting Commission (CIE); deputy director of the Optoelectronics Open Laboratory of the National University Science Park of Zhejiang University, and Ms. Wang Jianping, deputy general manager of Hangzhou Zheda Tricolor Instrument Co., Ltd.
On the afternoon of March 5th, Dr. Franz Hengstberger and his team visited the testing center of the testing center accompanied by Jiang Yinghong, director of the National Lighting Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Zhongshan), and Mr. Peng Zhenjian, deputy director, to gain an in-depth understanding of the equipment and work of each testing room. After the visit, Dr. Franz Hengstberger told reporters that he was sincerely pleased that China has an internationally advanced testing center.
Dr. Franz Hengstberger has been in the testing industry for 35 years and has been to the testing centers of many countries. He was the director of the South African National Laboratory before becoming the chairman of CIE. Before he visited, he did not think that the National Lighting Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Zhongshan) had so many world-class testing equipment, which made him very shocked!
