The report also forecasted that the full-year net profit for 2017 would fall between 40.4 and 42.9 billion yuan, which represents a decrease of 15.09% to 20.03% compared to the previous year’s net profit of 5.052 billion yuan.
Looking ahead, BYD expects the sales trend of new energy vehicles to remain strong in the fourth quarter, continuing to grow faster than the same period in 2016. In the traditional automotive segment, the newly launched Song Max model has been well received by consumers, helping to accelerate the recovery of the company’s conventional car business. Additionally, the mobile phone components and assembly division continued to perform well, with the metal parts business contributing significantly to the group's profits.
