Keyssa? Announces New Generation Kiss Connector for Faster Availability of Supported System Products

Keyssa, a pioneer in high-speed, contactless connectivity technology, has introduced its next-generation componentized connector product, the KSS104. This advanced solution offers enhanced electrical and mechanical performance, reduced standby power consumption, and improved testability. It supports a broader range of communication protocols, including PCIe and high-speed video signals—expanding on previously supported standards like USB SS, DisplayPort, and SATA. The KSS104 is available as a semi-custom embedded component or as a complete plug-and-play module, both of which are part of Keyssa’s KissConnector product family. Additionally, it serves as a scalable platform for future enhancements, such as lower costs and smaller form factors, making it ideal for evolving design needs. KissConnector is a compact, low-cost, low-power, all-solid-state electromagnetic connector that enables fast, secure data transfer between devices with high bandwidth. Keyssa’s KissConnectivity technology is redefining how devices communicate, offering designers greater flexibility in product development. “We are committed to making our high-speed solutions easy to integrate and test throughout the design and manufacturing process,” said SriGondi, Vice President of Engineering at Keyssa. “With KSS104, our customers can achieve faster time-to-market by leveraging our cutting-edge technology.” Key features of KSS104 include: - Enhanced signal integrity for more flexible system designs - Reduced power consumption during standby mode - Bandwidth increase exceeding 10% (up to 6 Gbps) - Improved testability - Expanded protocol support, including PCIe and high-speed video Eric Almgren, CEO of Keyssa, noted: “The high-speed KissConnectivity concept is gaining traction in the market, whether used as an external device-to-device connector or an internal board-to-board wireless solution. Our next-gen products not only help customers speed up their time-to-market but also enable new applications like HDTV and data centers.” The KSS104 is designed to be a universal high-speed connector suitable for both external and internal use. Samples are now available, with mass production expected to begin in June 2017. In addition to this major product launch, Keyssa recently won the prestigious Edison Awards 2017 Grand Prix. This award, named after Thomas Edison, celebrates innovation and creativity in the global economy. Keyssa was recognized for its wireless solutions in consumer electronics and IT. The company will accept the award at the Edison Awards ceremony in New York on April 20, 2017.
