Keyssa? Announces New Generation Kiss Connector for Faster Availability of Supported System Products

Keyssa, a pioneer in high-speed, contactless connectivity technology, has launched its next-generation componentized connector product, the KSS104. This advanced solution brings enhanced electrical and mechanical performance, reduced standby power consumption, improved testability, and support for a broader range of communication protocols. The KSS104 can be used as a semi-custom embedded component or as a complete plug-and-play module, both of which are part of Keyssa’s KissConnector product family. Additionally, it serves as a scalable platform for future enhancements, such as cost reduction and miniaturization. The KSS104 is a compact, low-cost, low-power, all-solid-state electromagnetic connector that enables fast, secure data transfer between devices with high bandwidth. Keyssa’s KissConnectivity technology is revolutionizing the way devices communicate, empowering designers to create more innovative and flexible device architectures. “We are committed to making our high-speed solutions easy to integrate and test throughout the design and manufacturing process,” said SriGondi, Vice President of Engineering at Keyssa. “With the KSS104, our customers can achieve faster time-to-market for their systems by leveraging our cutting-edge technology.” Key features of the KSS104 include: - Enhanced signal integrity for greater system flexibility - Lower standby power consumption - Bandwidth increase exceeding 10% (up to 6 Gbps) - Improved testability - Support for PCIe and high-speed video signals (in addition to previously supported protocols like USBSS, DisplayPort, and SATA) “The growing adoption of KissConnectivity in the market reflects its value as both an external device-to-device connector and an internal board-to-board wireless solution,” said Eric Almgren, CEO of Keyssa. “Our next-gen products not only help customers accelerate their time-to-market but also enable new applications like HDTV and data centers through support for PCIe and high-speed video.” The KSS104 is designed to serve as a universal, high-speed connector suitable for both external and internal use cases. Samples are now available, with mass production expected to begin in June 2017. In addition to this major product launch, Keyssa recently received the prestigious Edison Awards 2017 Grand Prix. This award honors innovation and creativity in the global economy, inspired by the legacy of Thomas Edison. Keyssa was recognized for its wireless solutions in consumer electronics and IT. The company will accept the award at the Edison Awards ceremony in New York on April 20, 2017.
