The transaction amount is approximately NT$1.1-1.2 billion. It is expected that the entire transaction will be completed before the shareholders' meeting on June 23, 2010.
It is understood that Kaiyao completed the construction of the third plant in Taiwan in October 2009. It was originally planned to continue to expand the capacity of CCFL and LED in the third plant, and has introduced a small amount of equipment, but due to the shift of focus of the new US and the main customer layout to China On the mainland, more than 60% of the main products and business backlights are from CMO. Therefore, the business and capacity building direction of Qi Yao has gradually moved to mainland China.
Qi Yao has invested about US$4 million in March 2010 to establish Foshan Yahong Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. in China. The main business projects are LCD panel backlight related materials, including cold cathode lamps, LED packages and light bars.
Qi Yao said that lighting products are the main force behind Kai Yao's development, and currently account for less than 10% of revenue. In the future, the company will continue to focus on the two major applications of backlighting and lighting. At the same time, it is emphasized that the expansion of the production capacity of Qi Yao in the future will also be dominated by mainland China.
