David Yeh, Product Marketing Manager at Xilinx OTN, gave a presentation titled "Implementing Your 500G/1T OTN Line Card with a Fully Programmable FPGA ."

Xilinx will introduce how programmable logic provides partial reconfiguration, a large number of high-speed analog IO, and mixed-signal functions to build highly flexible, scalable, high-density 500G/1T line cards.

A presentation entitled "Programmable Hardware for High-Performance SDN" was presented by Xilinx Distinguished Engineer Gordon Brebner.

· This presentation will show how field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) provide flexible bridges between outgoing photonics and next-generation data center servers through programmable hardware.

Xilinx Live Demo - Booth 729:

High-density 100G OTN switching solution with a single Virtex UltraScale FPGA

This demonstration demonstrates Xilinx's high-density OTN switching solution with its Virtex® UltraScaleTM VU095 device. The device not only supports 2x100G OTN switching applications, but also provides an upgrade path that allows the solution to be upgraded to a 4/5x100G OTN switching solution with a larger capacity Virtex UltraScale VU190 device.

· Single-chip 400G Ethernet solution with Virtex FPGA UltraScale

This end-to-end solution demonstration demonstrates the industry's first single-chip 400GE solution using the Xilinx Virtex UltraScale VU095 device; the device is connected to four Sumitomo Electric CFP4 LR4 modules via a quasi-standard 400GE MAC and PCS IP. Four sets of JDSU LR4 modules are connected to the JDSU ONT 400GE test solution.

· Low latency 4x25G Ethernet MAC solution

This demonstration demonstrates how the Virtex UltraScale VCU107 development board communicates with the QSFP28 form factor development board of the Ixia Xcellon-MulTIs QSFP28 100/4x25GE input module via a 3 meter long direct copper cable and 4 channels of 25G Ethernet. The Xilinx low-latency 25G Ethernet MAC supports the 25G Ethernet Alliance specification and will support future IEEE 25GE specifications in the future.

· Effective OTU2r solution

This quasi-standard OTU2r (carrying CPRI via OTN technology) demonstration demonstrates how to maximize the efficiency of the outbound link. The demonstration uses a JDSU tester to provide CPRI signals (Kintex®-7 FPGA) and then maps to the OTU2r container.

· For latency-sensitive applications, Xilinx Alliance members demonstrated the TCP offload engine (TOE128) running on the Kintex UltraScale FPGA on the Dini Group's PCIe_40G_KU_LL platform.

Ethernet Alliance - Booth 2531

· The demonstration demonstrates Xilinx's built-in integrated 100G Ethernet MAC and the new 100G IEEE802.3bj RS-FEC IP Virtex UltraScale device to support the 40km optical link by driving the Finisar CFP4 ER4f optical module.

Ixia - Booth 2737

· This demonstration demonstrates how the Virtex UltraScale VCU107 development board communicates with the QSFP28 form factor development board of the Ixia Xcellon-MulTIs QSFP28 100/4x25GE input module over a 3 meter long straight copper cable and 4 channels of 25G Ethernet.

· This demo demonstrates the features and features of the Xilinx Virtex UltraScale VU095 device; it can be connected to four CFP4 LR4 modules and connected to the Ixia 400GE Jumpstart test solution via four Finisar CFP4 LR4 modules.
