Cheng Zhanglin, director of the Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Center, said yesterday (11.28) that the Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute has established a 2.5-generation demonstration plant for the soft AM OLED process verification platform under the technical support of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. It will provide AUO, Chi Mei, etc. next year. The panel factory is in place to verify the service.
The Taiwan Institute of Technology's Display Center held the "2012 Soft Display and Electronic Technology Exchange Conference" yesterday. Cheng Zhanglin said that in recent years, display technology has progressed rapidly, and it has continued to develop from the constant pursuit of thinning and power saving to new forms of “transparency†and “softnessâ€.
He said that the latest development of the ultra-thin glass continuous crimp production technology and development of the OLED process verification platform by the Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute is the key technology to promote the next generation display industry. It is expected to provide verification services to the industry starting in the third quarter of 2013, and it is also the first complete service platform in Taiwan to assist the industry in OLED-related process validation.
