LTE TDD fusion technology

The 3GPP working group meeting held in Jeju, South Korea, adopted the LTE TDD fusion technology proposal. The TD-based frame structure unifies two TDD (TD-SCDMA LCR/HCR) modes that extend the existing standards. At the 38th Plenary Session of the 3GPP RAN held in December 2007, the fused frame structure scheme was adopted and officially written into the 3GPP standard. The improved LTE TDD ensures the good compatibility between LTE TDD and TD-SCDMA, and finds the best way for the long-term development of TD.
