At present, the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) has launched the first HDR standard, DisplayHDR 1.0 standard, for display products. The formulation of this standard has already gathered more than 20 chip, panel, display, system manufacturers in the industry to participate in the formulation, the lineup is very powerful.

The Display HDR 1.0 standard defines three levels, each of which has different requirements for the brightness, color gamut, color depth, and other specifications of the display. Afterwards, everyone can refer to different levels of standards when purchasing the monitor.


DisplayHDR 1.0 standard defines 3 levels

The first is the Display HDR 400 level, supports global dimming, the peak brightness is to reach 400nits, the continuous brightness is not lower than 320nits, the sRGB color gamut coverage is not lower than 95%, supports HDR10; the DisplayHDR 600 level requires 10bit processing capability, and the peak brightness is to be achieved 600nits, continuous brightness of not less than 350nits, sRGB color gamut coverage of not less than 99%; DisplayHDR 1000 level can only be achieved by professional displays, peak brightness 1000nits, continuous brightness 600nits, color gamma has significantly improved.
